John M. Flick

President / Principal

John M. Flick, Esq. is the principal shareholder at Flick Law Group, P.C. His practice focuses on all areas of corporate law for closely held businesses, with particular specialization in employment law including claims of discrimination and retaliation, wage and hour compliance, breach of contract, alleged wrongful terminations, and non-compete litigation. He also assists clients with employee leave matters and counseling on a range of topics including personnel policies, restrictive covenants, Title IX investigations, discharge and discipline, accommodation requirements, privacy issues, and employment agreements. In addition, John represents commercial clients in land- use and leasing, corporate governance, and commercial litigation. John has represented employers before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD), United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and in Massachusetts and Federal courts. John also regularly assists clients with residential real estate, complex title issues, and estate planning and probate. Attorney Flick also serves as the City Solicitor for the City of Gardner, Massachusetts, handling all facets of municipal law including labor negotiations; a position he has held since January 2009.

Ethan D. Kolodney

Ethan D. Kolodny, Esq. is an Associate Attorney at Flick Law Group, P.C. concentrating his practice in employment law and commercial civil litigation. Ethan represents and counsels employers in a wide array of labor and employment and litigation matters, including claims of discrimination and retaliation, wage and hour compliance, breach of contract, alleged wrongful terminations, corporate collections, and other commercial matters. He also assists clients with employee leave matters and counseling on a range of topics including personnel policies, restrictive covenants, Title IX investigations, discharge and discipline, accommodation requirements, privacy issues, and employment agreements. Ethan also serves as the Assistant City Solicitor for the City of Gardner where he regularly advises City Departments on matters of municipal law.Prior to joining Flick Law Group, P.C., Ethan worked for a large firm in Boston where he litigated and counseled on labor and employment law matters. Ethan also served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Noel E. Primos of the Delaware Superior Court. When not at work, Ethan enjoys playing golf, cycling, and spending time with his golden retriever puppy, Addie, and his cat, Scout.

Robert J. Charland

Of Cousel

Robert J. Charland, Esq is Of Counsel at Flick Law Group, P.C. His practice focuses on all areas of real estate and conveyancing law, with particular specialization in both residential and commercial title examinations, complex title issue research, title defect resolution, title insurance and title certification, buyer and seller representation in all real estate matters, lending institution representation and closings for both residential and commercial transactions. With over 20 years of active conveyancing experience, Robert has completed over 10,000 real estate transactions. Robert also deals with estate planning (including wills, trusts, powers of attorney and health care proxies) and Probate Law. Robert is also able to offer initial 1031 tax exchange assessment and referral.

Robert has served as President of the Northern Worcester County Bar Association from 2004 to 2006. He was also an active member of the City of Fitchburg Redevelopment Authority from 1996 to 2007, serving as President from 2000 to 2005. When not at work, Robert is an avid golfer and enjoys playing ice hockey.
